Final Preparations!

About two-thirds of our group of 23 met Wednesday evening for a final round of last-minute info, Q & A, and dessert.
We've been meeting for 6 weeks and our hosts, Doug and Pam Fogg, along with our Bible teacher Pastor Graig, have been trying to educate us biblically, geographically, and travel-practically so that our experience in the Bible lands will be maximized.
Not everyone has been able to be with us. Our two firends from Lebanon, Oregon, managed to join us a couple times, but we are still looking forward to being joined by a couple from northern Washington, along with Sheri Brown's sister from Denver. Most of us will leave EARLY Sunday morning for the arduous journey to Egypt, either from PDX to JFK, and then on to Istanbul, Turkey, where we will catch our flight to Cairo, where out chronological Bible tour begins... OR from PDX to JFK to Rome and then Cairo.
In any case, we'll be TIRED when we arrive. Fortunately two group members, Larry and Ann Roberts, are already on their way, wanting to get there ahead of time to get acclimated. We'll let them lead the way for awhile when the rest of us arrive, bleary eyed, wanting nothing more than a good night's rest.
We will try to feature every team member along the way in the photos for these posts, and as the previous post indicated, we'll also try to post plenty of photos on the Flickr account at www.flickr.com/groups/1525180@N20/ . We'll try to make these posts interesting for our loved ones and friends, for the church family back home, and for anybody else who happens to stumble upon the site. May we have a safe and meaningful "pilgramage", and may the Lord be glorified in all that we do.

  1. So glad you all arrived safely. We're all praying for a safe and joyful trip. Can't wait to hear Tia's stories about rest stops along the way or how Graig will explain his preaching on top of a camel! Some walk, some ride...
Blessings to one and all- Libby
